Many of the discussions around these rookie camps have been about Connor Bedard and the season he may have.
His first unofficial game would see Bedard record a Hat-Trick against the St. Louis Blues. Despite his exceptional performance, he wasn't the only one who had a stellar game Saturday night.
On the same night, Columbus Blue Jackets, third-round pick Adam Fantilli scored a hat-trick as well. Moreover, he outscored Bedard with five points.
Against Detroit Red Wings prospects, Fantilli's first goal sparked the rally to score 7 goals in the second period.
As his last goal, Fantilli would score an empty netter to complete his hat-trick.
A 10-goal performance by the Blue Jacket gave Fantilli 5 points, which was one more than Bedard, who had 4 points.
A great battle against the two rookies on their rebuilding teams will be exciting to watch as these two continue to develop in the NHL.
