The Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers were battle it out yesterday afternoon at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa Ontario. The Edmonton Oilers looked to have this one in the bag, leading 6-3 late in the 3rd period when a scary moment occurred.
With the Oilers all around the Senators net looking to add to their lead, Senators defenceman Travis Hamonic would knock Oilers forward Zach Hyman into Senators goaltender Anton Forsberg.
Forsberg was unable to finish the game as he was clearly in a lot of pain and needed assistance to be taken off the ice on stretcher by the medical staff. Forsberg has been taken to a local hospital in Ottawa where he will be further examined.
