Breaking: Ex-Blackhawks fan favorite Suggests Possible Retirement in New Interview
It has been a long and successful career for Marc-Andre Fleury in the NHL, with the majority of his time spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vegas Golden Knights. He spent a great deal of time with the Minnesota Wild more recently.
During a recent interview, he mentioned that he was inviting his family to the Wild's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
"Marc-Andre Fleury will have 2 dozen family and friends at game tomorrow for what could be his final start in MTL: «More than usual for this one. But still got to get the win. Got to get the 2 points & that's what matters. And hopefully you can put on a good show for them.»

It was even more eyebrow-raising to hear that it could be his last start in Montreal. Does Fleury seem like he might be entertaining hanging up the skates?
He could be nearing retirement at 38, and the fact that he invited so many people to a hometown game suggests there may be more to play than what's being said here.
In his career, Fleury has played 985 NHL games. This season he will hit 1,000 games. He was a first-round selection in the 2003 NHL draft and has won three Stanley Cups, making him one of the best goaltenders in the league.
In the event that he retires for good, he can rest in the knowledge he gave his all on the ice during his NHL career.
