Canadiens Have Questions Surrounding Kirby Dach
As we all know, Kirby Dach is a Canadien and yes, he did net the game winner in the shootout against the Hawks a couple of week ago. Sorry to remind you guys of that.
Well, now the Canadiens have concerns of Dach, but in a good way.
I have always believed that Dach is a much better winger because of how much better he is at playing along the boards than in the center of the ice.
Well, because of his board skills, the Canadiens have had him playing wing mostly this year, but now, they are looking to see if that can change.
The other night, in a 4-2 loss to the Kings, Dach played the center position. He did very well and dominated at the faceoff circle, but it doesn't seem like Center is the best fit for Dach.
It is not because he was bad, but it was rather how ineffective his previous line (with Suzuki and Caufield).
That line really didn't do anything as they gave up a goal and were outshot 11-3 during their time on the ice.
Obviously this is a small sample size, but it seems as though Dach is better off as a winger as long as he is in a Canadiens jersey.
