Jonathan Toews already had an outstanding, dwindling bucket list at a pretty young age. Additionally, the Chicago Blackhawks captain, an all-purpose centre, was selected as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players at the age of 28.

With the Blackhawks, Toews won the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013, and 2015.

At both the Olympics in Sochi and Vancouver in 2010, he won a gold medal for Canada.

He won the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP in 2010 at the age of 22, making him the second-youngest player to do so. His 29 points came from 22 games.

He received the Selke Trophy in 2013, which is granted to the NHL's top defensive forward.
He received the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2015, which honours service to one's team and community.

Before all of this, on July 18, 2008, Toews was appointed the Blackhawks' captain. This was before his second season. 64 NHL games were played by him. No player had been appointed captain more quickly in League history.

Wait, a Selke trophy in 2013 when Toews was 25 years old? That is insane, the Blackhawks captain has sure slowed down in the point category throughout the past couple of years, but he sure has not in the defensive category.

Toews is looked up to by many players around the NHL not only for his leadership abilities, but his skill as a defensive forward.

Former Chicago Blackhawks Philip Danault faced off against Toews during the Blackhawks most recent win, where Toews scored the overtime winner to beat the LA Kings. Danault still showed humbleness and credited Toews for paving the right path for a young Philip Danault at the time.

"He was really good to me. He showed me the right path."
