Connor Bedard was selected first overall that this year's draft by the Chicago Blackhawks.
During the prospect camp, which is still going on, the Blackhawks social media team asked him and all the other prospects drafted to the team this year what they like.
This is what Connor Bedard had to say:
His favorite food is sushi (a lot of people's favorite food is sushi). His favorite song is "We are young," which I don't blame him, it's a great song.
The two things that grab my attention here is that he's from Vancouver and we all know his favorite player growing up was Sidney Crosby. Bedard mentioned that he was there during the Western Conference Finals when the Canucks won in overtime, and it was a feeling he never forgot. Chicago faces the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first game of the season. Bedard's first NHL game is going to be against his childhood hero, Sidney Crosby. Pretty cool.
