The NHL decided to introduce digital board ads this season and it has been a complete failure, from players disappearing from broadcasts to the puck not being visible- who would want to subscribe to NHL TV for an eye-soar of a game?
Bettman says that digital dasherboard ad backlash is a «non-issue» because their polling indicates fans find games more watchable with those digital ads replacing physical ones
Bettman can't let the fact of the fail of a project being an issue due to more revenue being generated from them, truly disappointing, just take a look at some of the mishaps so far this season.
These are just a few of the examples out of the bunch of mishaps so far, and 2,000 fans voted on how they feel about the ads- 91% of them were not happy.
