Hawks set to burn the first year of their rookies ELC in a questionable move.
It seems that Kevin Korchinski may have the opportunity to join the Chicago Blackhawks team soon.
According to reports, Kyle Davidson is open to allowing young players to move up in the ranks, which could mean an NHL promotion for Korchinski in the near future.
I think the #Blackhawks give Kevin Korchinski 10 games at the very least. I believe that they want to burn the first year of his contract. It will be interesting to see if he spends the whole year with them though. #HawksProspects
Korchinski had an impressive regular and post-season with the Seattle Thunderbirds, who were runners up for the Ed Chynoweth Cup.
However, the Blackhawks are facing challenges due to the strict NHL-CHL rules. It remains to be seen whether Korchinski will remain with the team beyond the first ten games or if he will be sent back down, with the possibility of returning to Chicago next season.
