Alexander Ovechkin is one of the biggest and arguably the best generational goal-scorer of this generations and the ''great 8'' shows zero signs of slowing down. Ovechkin headed into last nights matchup against the Blackhawks at the United Centre three goals away from hitting 800 career goals, a milestone where only two NHL legends could say they have completed- Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky.
Well, what other team to score a hattrick against then the Blackhawks to make NHL history for the 3rd time ever?
The Blackhawks organization seems to be getting nearly more love then Ovechkin scoring the goal due to the Blackhawks' reaction to his 800th goal- the United Centre gave him a standing ovation and even cheered on his name!
Jonathan Toews also proved why he wears the ''C'' on his jersey as he skated over and congratulated Ovechkin, which can be seen below.
