There's been plenty of rumors running around recently regarding the Chicago Blackhawks. After trading away Kirby Dach and Alex DeBrincat during the NHL draft back on July 7th many have wondered about Blackhawks OG's Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane.
Toews has been with the Blackhawks since being drafted 3rd overall in 2006, while Kane would be selected 1st overall in 2007. Both players have lead the Blackhawks to three Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013, and 2015. Those days are long gone with Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson playing Bob the Builder doing a complete teardown as he has his eyes set on tanking for phenom Connor Bedard.
With that said people are wondering if or when Toews and or Kane will be traded. We'll we can report Kane is officially on the trading block. This comes from two well known Hockey Insiders, Andy Strickland from the Cam and Strick Podcast and David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
According to Strickland the New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche are in the running for Kane's services. Strickland and David Pagnotta both confirmed the Dallas Stars are also very interested in acquiring Kane.
"Somebody told me, watch out for the Dallas Stars. They're looking to make a splash and I had someone throw out the name Patrick Kane to me about the Dallas Stars. Chicago would probably have to eat some money, but I had a birdie tell me watch out for the Dallas Stars."
- David Pagnotta
