Two players expected to be dealt at any time are Patrick Kane, and Johnathan Toews. Both Kane and Toews will go down as arguably the best duo in Blackhawks history. However, both have also voice their displeasure of the direction the Blackhawks have been heading these past few years.
Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson is already has his eyes set on the 2023's projected first overall pick Connor Bedard. That obviously means another painful year for Kane and Toews if they stay in Chicago. Toews looks to have one foot out the door after his recent criticizem of the Blackhawks five year plan.
"That doesn't sound appealing to me." - Johnathan Toews
So... what's next?
Hockey Insider Andy Strickland would drop a bombshell reporting on the Cam & Strick Podcast yesterday that he has heard rumors linking Kane to the Dallas Stars.
"Somebody told me, 'watch out for the Dallas Stars.' They're looking to make a splash and I had someone throw out the name Patrick Kane to me about the Dallas Stars. Chicago would probably have to eat some money, but I had a birdie tell me watch out for the Dallas Stars."
- Andy Strickland
Patrick Kane is 33 and will go down as the best American born player of all time. Kane was drafted by the Blackhawks 1st overall in the 2007 draft. Kane has played in 1,107 games, scoring 430, and adding, 750 assists. Kane has won three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks.
