NHL to San Diego soon?
Kroenke owns and operates two companies, namely The Kroenke Group and THF Realty, apart from his sports empire which includes the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Rams, Colorado Rapids, and Mammoth.
NHL hockey to San Diego?
Stan Kroenke's real estate group is taking over a new arena project in San Diego.
'Midway Rising' will include:
- A 16,000-seat arena
- Thousands of new housing units
- A hotel
- Retail space
- Ability to host an NBA or NHL franchise
He is leaving the possibility of expansion in San Diego for the NBA or NHL open, in case they decide to take advantage of the arena that will be made available by the commercial realtor.
The arena will have a seating capacity of 16,000 and will also host retail space, a hotel, and thousands of new housing units.
It remains to be seen if Gary Bettman will take the NHL back to the west.
