When a player who performs as well as Kadri did, teams come knocking when said player is due for a new contract.
Kadri was a revelation and a staple as the Avalanche second-line centre during their Stanley Cup win last summer.
Nazem's dad Sam revealed that the Islander, Rangers and Blue Jackets showed significant interest in the veteran forwards services.
It was reported by Pierre Lebrun that Kadri turned down a six-year $8.5 million dollar extension, before opting to sign in the stampede city.
