Players Aren't Happy After These John Tortorella Controversial Comments About His Team
John Torortella is as old school as it gets, 1958? That is the year Torts was born, he is 64 years of age with many years of coaching experience underneath his belt. Torts has been a trending coach over the past couple of years, for good and bad reasoning.
Tortoella's approach to the game may not be as bad as some think, it is just his style of coaching. Tortorella is very hard-headed, if you are not proving to him you are giving your all, you will be benched for the remainder of the game. Take Patrick Laine for example, a former second overall pick who was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets while Torts' was there, he simply developed a bad relationship with Tortorella and was benched a countless amount of times due to not back-checking.
Torts has recently been trending and getting backlash for his recent comments, but once again, it is all honesty from Torts. View his comments below:
Tortorella said they'll be «spoon feeding» information to the players through the week. Adds later «athletes these days have the attention span of an amoeba.»
