The Blackhawks made multiple roster moves in wake of Patrick Kane's knee injury. This morning it was announced forwards Jujhar Khaira (lower back) and MacKenzie Entwistle (right wrist) were placed on the injured reserve. To fill the gaps in Chicago's offense, the Blackhawks have called up Lukas Reichel and Brett Seney from the Rockford IceHogs.
Both Reichel and Seney have been thriving in Rockford. Reichel earned 36 points (14G, 22A) in 32 games, and Seney earned 38 points (14G, 24A) in 32 games both with the IceHogs. Reichel played one game this season with the Blackhawks while Toews was injured, and Seney has yet to debut in Chicago.
It's unclear when Kane, Khaira or Entwistle will return to action, but a new look at Seney and another look at Reichel is bound to be refreshing. Reichel is expected to play Friday night against the Arizona Coyotes, but whether or not Seney will play has yet to be announced.
