Stanley Cup Favourites Interested in Acquiring Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews

The deadline is just two short months away, and the Hawks seem like they are going to be clearing the house this year.

They are riding a stellar 8-25-4 record with a phenomenal -61 goal differential. It is going to be tough to watch the squad once the deadline is over, but we must remain faithful.

One of those players who is likely to be dealt is Jonathan Toews. Yes, he has a no trade clause, but nothing has pointed to him staying here this year.

Toews and Kane both said they would circle back in early January and reevaluate where the team is. That was when the Hawks started with one of the best records in the NHL.

Well, not it is early January and the team has won just a few times since then. No, seriously, they Hawks have won just 3 times since November 3rd and just two times since November 12.

Since their 2-1 win over the Kings on November 3rd, they are just 3-21-2. Oof.

Well, back to Jonathan Toews, it seems a new team is interested in the longtime captain. That team is the Boston Bruins.

Yes, the best team in the NHL, with an amazing 29-4-4 record, wants to add the 3x Stanley Cup champion.

The Bruins are stacked, that is no secret, but that doesn't mean they can't do whatever it takes to make them even better.

With Toews' league leading 64.16% faceoff win percentage, you could bet the Bruins would love to add him to the 3rd or 4th line for some security at the faceoff dot.

Toews is strictly a center, so if this move were to be made, it is likely that Charlie Coyle gets moved to a winger spot, as he knows how to light the lamps more than Toews and Pavel Zacha.
