Down on the farm, Rockford took it to two teams over the weekend. They dismantled both Chicago and Belleville by scores of 5-3 and 8-2. That would be a big enough story on its own, however David Gust deserves another credit himself. The AHL has named David the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of The Week due to his 7 point weekend. David tallied on every score against the Wolves, 2 goals and 3 assists, and added 2 assists against the Senators.
To date David has a score line of 3 goals and 8 assists, 11 points in 6 games. He might not slow down soon either, with the Hogs squaring off with Milwaukee on Weds. Nov 2nd and Grand Rapids Sat. Nov 5th. David is currently contracted by the Icehogs, but if he can keep it up expect Kyle Davidson to possibly sign him to a Blackhawks contract.
