The Chicago Blackhawks have blown peoples expectations away this season, but are still in a battle with one specific thing, and it's not an opposing team, it is the organizations injuries.

Seth Jones, Tyler Johnson and goaltender Alex Stalock are all on the Hawks' injury reserve, alongside a few prospects in the Blackhawks system, but one stands out the most. That one is twenty-three year old Ian Mitchell.

Mitchell was prompted for a big season this year, and a season that may have earned him a full-time spot on the Blackhawks roster.

Sadly, Mitchell suffered quite the serious wrist injury and missed the entire pre-season, training camp and now will miss a solid chunk of the Blackhawks regular season.

Fans were in question and a worry regarding if we would get a glimpse of the Blackhawks prospect this season, and now it seems like we will.

Quickly ahead of his recovery timed schedule, Mitchell is back practicing with the Blackhawks and is out of his ''non-contact'' jersey, meaning he is back to full play.
