Alexander Ovechkin is one of the biggest and arguably the best generational goal-scorer of this generations and the ''great 8'' shows zero signs of slowing down. Ovechkin headed into last nights matchup against the Blackhawks at the United Centre three goals away from hitting 800 career goals, a milestone where only two NHL legends could say they have completed- Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky.

Well, what other team to score a hattrick against then the Blackhawks to make NHL history for the 3rd time ever?

The Blackhawks organization seems to be getting nearly more love then Ovechkin scoring the goal due to the Blackhawks' reaction to his 800th goal- the United Centre gave him a standing ovation and even cheered on his name!

Evgeny Kuznetsov, a Capitals forward, thanked the Blackhawks fans at the United Centre for this classy move, and Jonathan Toews even chimed in on the situation, to prove how amazing Blackhawks fans are..

"He's one of the great players of all time, so all due to respect to him... Getting himself an ovation and the «Ovi» chant in our building tonight and all that aside from the milestone, it didn't feel great on our side."
