The Ottawa Senators are cleaning house
The Ottawa Senators' recent transactions with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks have been widely criticized as poor deals.
The Blackhawks acquired a valuable player, DeBrincat, from the Senators during the draft, while the Red Wings received a player with high potential in exchange for a meager return.
Following these transactions, the team has seen a lot of changes, with positions becoming uncertain and the new regime taking control soon.
Unfortunately, Assistant General Manager Trent Mann was a casualty of this upheaval and was terminated after a brief tenure, just days after the DEBRINCAT trade was made.
Adding to the team's dysfunction, rumors circulated that Mann's brother, who was the head coach of the Bellville AHL, leaked information that led to his dismissal.
The team's ongoing struggles suggest that the rebuild may not be over yet, despite their claims to the contrary.
