Top 6 Forward Has Left The NHL For The Time Being
According to TJ Tucker, of Markerzone, the Dallas Stars have granted a leave of absence for Denis Gurianov, so he may be able to deal with personal family matters.
Gurianov will be out indefinitely, and this will definitely hurt the depth of the team. Gurianov has clearly not been playing like his typical self this year, as he has just 5 points in 25 games.
The last 3 seasons he has averaged about 1 point every 2 games, but this season he is averaging 1 point just every 5 games.
Gurianov is still just 25 years old and is a former first round draft pick. The Stars have been hoping for him to take that next big step in his play, but it doesn't seem like it will happen this season, as he is going to be away from hockey for some time.
