The Chicago Blackhawks have had quite the off-season, and have lost many fans in the process to this early start of Kyle Davidsons ''rebuild'' plan, but are they done making trades? Kyle David spoke to the media for the first time this off-season and over 10 reporters got their shot to ask Kyle important questions.
One being, ''are the Hawks done with the trades?'', Kyle Davidson responded by saying if the Hawks have the option to take on a bad or expensive contract, in exchange for compensation, why not?
This is a strategy that the Arizona Coyotes did many years ago, and that is how they acquired so many first round picks. The Coyotes took on contracts of players who are not worth their money, or players who retired but it was not official such as Pavel Datsyuk and Chris Pronger, also many others.
This is a smart move by Davidson, but it also means he is not afraid to take on crappy assets, meaning bad players, which points fingers towards this may be quite the mess of a rebuild.
