In particular, the Philadelphia Flyers had five players, who might make the team's shortlist - to either make the team out of camp, or at the very least warrant a call-up, should injuries hit the Flyers lineup.
The top-five is comprised of one defenceman, three forwards and one goaltender:
Lycksell, 23, played in the SHL with the Vaxjo Lakers in 2021-22, the forward suited up for 47 contests. Lycksell scored 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points. The Flyers selected the native of Oskarshamn, Sweden., was selected by the Flyers in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, with the 168 overall pick.
Ersson, 22, was chosen in the fifth round of the 2018 draft with the 143 overall selection. The native of Falun, Sweden., played the season prior to being drafted in the SHL with Brynas IF. The goaltender played 77 games over two seasons, recording a 30-46-0 record.
Desnoyers, 20, played his junior in the QMJHL, with the Halifax Mooseheads (which he captains currently). The Flyers chose Desnoyers with pick 135 in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL. Desnoyers played on the Canada World Junior team over the summer, and fans got a glimpse of this player's toolkit.
Attard, 23, was selected in the 2019 NHL Draft by the Flyers with selection number 72. The native of White Lake Township, Michigan is a hulking defenceman with NHL size (six-foot-three, 207 pounds. Attard played his 2021-22 season with Western Michigan, the defenceman played 39 games, scoring 13 goals and 23 assists for 26 points in the NCAA.
Foerster, 20, is a native of Alliston, Ontario. The big forward was selected with the 23 overall selection in the 2020 NHL Draft. Foerster played his junior hockey for the OHL's Barrie Colts, he played 139 games, posting 52 goals and 62 assists for 114 points.
