Joel Quennville addresses the public for first time in three years
Nick Alberga and The Leafs Nation recently had former NHL player and coach Joel Quenneville as a guest on their podcast.
Quenneville, a three-time Stanley Cup winner and former teammate of Borje Salming, talked about his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and coaching the Chicago Blackhawks to three Stanley Cup victories.
During the podcast, Quenneville highlighted the importance of key players like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Corey Crawford, and Niklas Hjamarsson in the Blackhawks' championship runs.
Quenneville discussed goalie rotation, preferring to stick with the hot hand and use backup goalies as needed, while also focusing on player development. Throughout the conversation, Quenneville shared insights into his coaching methods and experience in the NHL.
When asked about his future coaching plans, he mentioned that he currently has no specific timeline for returning to coaching in the NHL.
