NHL forward set to lose a lot of money after NHL decision
It was quite apparent that Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson was going to face a hefty suspension after his flagrant use of his stick when the Capitals played the Toronto Maple Leafs a few days ago.
After pushing forward
Noah Gregor, Wilson chose to use his stick like a weapon and decided to whack Gregor in the mouth quite hard.
After and in person hearing with the NHL players safety, wilson was given a six game suspension. With that suspension came a heavy cost to his finances.
Wilson, has been a repeat offender during his career and has been given numerous suspensions for terrible decisions that were made. It will come to a point when when is it enough and Wilson facing much longer suspensions.
With Wilson suspended, this certainly inflicts a blow on the capitals offence as the team continues to battle for a playoff spot as they are two points behind the Flyers for third in the Metro division.
