The worst is confirmed for Edmonton Oilers forward Corey Perry
Edmonton Oilers forward Corey Perry took a major hit from Dallas Stars Joe Pavelski which sent him straight to the Oilers dressing room after the hit.
Perry was attempting to clear the puck out of his own end when Pavelski came along and drew a high hit that sent him crashing to the ice. He was favouring his right shoulder as he skated off the ice. This was his second game as in many days as Perry had hoped to be called back into the lineup after sitting for several more.
The 39-year-old winger has not had a great playoff as his ice time has been reduced along with his skating ability that has hindered his scoring touch.
The Oilers had signed him in February, he is expected to help with the leadership and his playoff experience to push the Oilers to the next level.
It seems the Oilers are poised two head for a Stanley Cup final as they had beat the Dallas Stars last night 3-1 to put them up 3-2 in the series.
Game 6 will be on Sunday June 2nd and game time will be 8:30 PM eastern.
