Steve Larmer still currently leads the Chicago Blackhawks in power-play goals with 153, he ranks third in total all-time Hawks goal scorers with 406, and was even the NHL's ironman player who played over 884 straight games from 1982-1993 without taking a single break.
Throughout those 884 games straight, came many old-school hockey brawls and fights, which you would expect the gritty forward Larmer to be apart of as he was tough as nails..
Well, he sure did sit one of those brawls out, and it was against one of the best rivalries in hockey history, the North Stars vs the Chicago Blackhawks and it came with a hilarious storyline, let's take a look!
Former NHL'er (Minnesota North Star player) Brian Bellows tells a fight story between himself and the legend Steve Larmer..
"I loved that there was the skill and the brawn. Some shifts were pure skill. Others? One night I lined up beside Steve Larmer. All of a sudden Behn Wilson starts fighting Willi Plett.
I think Curt Fraser was fighting Dan Mandich. Just heavyweights. I turned to Steve and said, 'What do you think, buddy?' He said, 'Let's sit this one out and watch the big guys fight."

Minnesota North Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks, what a rivalry!
