BREAKING: Ex-Chicago Blackhawk Gets Ditched by His new Team
The Boston Bruins have made a surprising move today, placing defenseman Ian Mitchell on waivers, creating uncertainty about his future with the team.
Ian Mitchell, formerly with the Blackhawks, who requested a trade out of Chicago, was sent to the Bruins in a trade involving Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno.
In his previous season, Mitchell had a solid performance with the Blackhawks, registering one goal and seven assists in 35 games.
Since the start of this season, Mitchell has only participated in two games for the Bruins, contributing with one assist. Throughout his 84-game NHL career, he's managed to score four goals and provide 13 assists.
This unexpected decision to place Mitchell on waivers raises questions, especially considering the recent trade that brought him to Boston and his potential, which he demonstrated during his tenure with the Blackhawks.
