BREAKING NEWS - Major Reassignment of a Hockey Canada Staff After Embarrassing Comments
BREAKING NEWS
After embarrassing comments this past week, Hockey Canadas board chair director has announced her reassignment.
Andrea Skinner released the following statement via social media:
''Upon reflection, it is clear to me from recent events that it no longer makes sense for me to continue to volunteer my time as Interim Chair or as a Director of the organization..''
SHe announced her resignment just three days after embarassing comments. After being asked about the sexual assault aspects to the Hockey Canada investigation during a hearing with the Parlament, Skinner felt it was needed to ignore the sexual assault questions/answers and found it was more important to comment on keeping the arenas open.
Andrea Skinner on prospect of removing Hockey Canada leaders: «I think that will be very impactful in a negative way to our boys and girls who are playing hockey. Will the lights stay on in the rink? I don't know. We can't predict that, and to me that's not a risk worth taking.»
