The Blackhawks had a rough Preseason, and are set to have a worst Regular Season. It's going to be a long season for Hawks fans.

News came out that Connor Murphy and Jake McCabe may be on the shelf, Caleb Jones a definite no for this year's season opener.

Connor Murphy is in a Non-Contact jersey, and is dealing with back soreness. He is questionable for this year's Season Opener. Murph was given the Alternate Captain position for the first time in his career this year. Connor is 25 years old, and was a First Round Pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He had 4 goals and 6 assists, racking up 10 points in last year's season.

Jake McCabe is going to be out for a little bit longer than Connor Murphy, coming bac from successful cervical spine surgery. For the first time yesterday, he was able to practice in a Full-Contact jersey. His return isn't expected until late October, though. Last season he had 4 goals and 18 assists, having 22 points on the year.

Caleb Jones suffered a left wrist injury, and could miss up to 6 weeks. He is the brother of Seth Jones, one of, if not the best defenseman in Chicago. Caleb Jones came over from the Edmonton Oilers when the Blackhawks traded away Duncan Keith, who retired after the 2021-2022 season. Caleb is 24 years old. Jones last season had 5 goals and 10 assists, adding up to 15 points on the year.

It's going to be a rough season, and all of these injuries are not helping out the Hawks in any means.
