Luke Richardson and the Chicago Blackhawks play host to the Vegas Golden Knights tonight. The Knights are led by head coach, Bruce Cassidy, who has been friends with Richardson for quite some time, since they played hockey together as kids.

Well, it is not just Richardson and Cassidy that are old friends meeting up tonight, as they have a third member of their friend group who will be in attendance.

Barry, a friend of the two head coaches, is in town tonight as he wraps up some off time during a vacation from his job in Ottawa as a firefighter.

According to Patrick Flowers of Bleacher Nation, he spotted Richardson wearing an Ottawa Fire sweatshirt, which inclined Flowers to ask what it was for.

Richardson then shared that Barry would be in attendance and that this one means a lot, because not only does he work to save lives, but he also volunteers to save lives as well.

Shortly after tonight's game, Barry will be going back home to have surgery to get his kidney removed, which he is donating to someone else so that they may get a full life out of it.

Barry is donating his kidney to another high school friend, who didn't seem to have much time left because of dialysis.

Amazing story heading into tonight's game against the Knights as a friend group has managed to come full circle and catch up before they go their separate ways again.
