The Chicago Blackhawks are in need to prepare for the lengthy rebuild ahead, the first step that many teams perform is benching ''older'' players and slotting in their future stars into the mix, typically the young guns.
The Blackhawks are taking it in full approach as they let go of two aging defensemen this off-season, Calvin De Haan and Erik Gustaffson, the two have found news homes with the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes.
The Blackhawks are also taking that approach this season, adding Isaac Philips and Ian Mitchell into the lineup, two of the Blackhawks top defense prospects and they will be scratching Caleb Jones for the third time this season.
Chances are Caleb would not be with the Blackhawks organization anymore if it wasn't for his brother Seth Jones having a long-term contract with the Blackhawks.
