Checkout The Blackhawks Newly Acquired Starting Goalie's Mask
Petr Mrazek was acquired by the Chicago Blackhawks on July seventh, when the NHL entry draft took place, which also marks the date that Kirby Dach and Alex DeBrincat were sadly traded away from the windy city of Chicago.
The Blackhawks did NOT give contract offers to their free agent goaltenders Collin Delia and Kevin Lankinen, which forced them to hit the free agent market where they were signed by teams quickly. Meaning the Blackhawks did not have a single starting goaltender, forcing the Hawks to make a move of some sort.
Mrazek has had amazing success in past years, when healthy. The 29 year old goaltender has suffered some long-term injuries in the past but he states he is hoping for a fresh start in his new colours, of red and white.
With every new opportunity comes a new... goalie mask? Mrazek revealed his Blackhawks goalie helmet for next season, and it's quite amazing, take a look..
