Elliotte Friedman Confirms Blackhawks and Sens Have Talked About a ''BIG TRADE''
Elliotte Friedman said on his most recent 32 Thoughts podcast that the Ottawa Senators have contacted the Chicago Blackhawks regarding Seth Jones.
It makes sense that the Senators are interested in Jones since they could definitely use a defender like Jones in their lineup. These discussions, of course, did not result in a successful trade.
Perhaps that front might change as the season goes on and we draw closer to the deadline. Perhaps the Blackhawks will be more open to the idea of selling at the deadline because Jones is one of their most valued trading assets, but holds a ridiculous annual salary.Time will tell on that front, anyway, but don't be shocked if the Senators make another attempt to get him from here.
