The Chicago Blackhawks have been full speed ahead in the Connor Bedard tank zone since the season began. Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson has been trying to trade away everyone he can for as many picks and prospects as possible, which started with DeBrincat, Dach and it could very well be Kane and Toews soon.
However, Davidson has been holding onto a few players to see how big of a return he can get back. One of those players is veteran defenceman Jake McCabe, and Elliotte Friedman has confirmed that.
Davidson seems mixed on if he wants to actually trade McCabe or keep him, as Sportsnet Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman would share this on the 32 thoughts Podcast:
Friedman on 32TP says Blackhawks are in no rush to trade D-Jake McCabe cause they really like him, but they understand at this point of his career he probably wants to win and teams will call about him, expects Edmonton to potentially be one of those teams. - Elliotte Friedman
