Emotional interview between Toews and Kane when asked about each others friendship
Time is ticking, and so is Kane and Toews' time in a Chicago Blackhawks jersey sadly. The season has went as awful as expected and possibly even worse, a tough one to say the least for the iconic duo's final games in the Windy City.
Kane and Toews are both free-agents at the end of this season, although they are expected to be traded at the NHL trade deadline in hopes for another shot at a Stanley Cup. The superstars' agent who goes by the name Pat Brisson was asked by the media- when will we know if Kane and Toews are being moved? Brisson responded stating the two have made an agreement with Kyle Davidson, where they will circle back once the New Year hits in January to see how they are feeling.
Over sixteen years and counting for Kane and Toews in Chicago, and if it does come to an end, it'll sure be an emotional one to say the least.
Both Kane and Toews were recently asked to reflect on the impact of each others game over the years, and here's what they had to say:
«I'll say this: There were moments where I was envious of his confidence and I wasn't sure where he got it from sometimes.»
Jonathan Toews, who's coming up on 1,000 games with Patrick Kane Sunday, on what Kane was like in the beginning Kane had this to say:
«Oh, for sure. There's been plenty of battles over the years on and off the ice.»
Patrick Kane on Wednesday on whether his relationship with Jonathan Toews has been like a marriage
