Ex-Blackhawk gets another shot at the bigs with his recall from the AHL
Bill Guerin and the Minnesota Wild have recalled ex-Blackhawk Jujhar Khaira from the Iowa Wild.
During his four games with Iowa, he has put up 4 points with a plus minus of +3.
With the Blackhawks last season, he tallied six goals and eight assists for 14 points, in 51 games.
A back injury limited Khaira's contributions for the team in 2023, but he still managed to contribute. He hopes to crack the Wild's bottom-six lineup in the meantime.
Originally drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round of the 2012 NHL draft, Khaira was the 60th overall pick.
With eight Stanley Cup playoff appearances under his belt, Khaira is the third Punjabi player in the NHL after Robin Sawa and Manny Malhotra.
