Ex-Disgraced Blackhawks Coach Set to Make Return to The NHL
Former Chicago Blackhawks cup-winning coach, Joel Quenneville, may be making a triumphant return to the NHL after being banished for over eighteen months.
NHL Insider Darren Dreger reveals that Commissioner Gary Bettman will meet with Quenneville to review his status soon.
Dreger previously hinted at Quenneville's comeback being a "strong possibility" this offseason. As the second-winningest coach in NHL history, Quenneville's resignation from the Florida Panthers during the 2021-22 season, and subsequent removal from the league due to his involvement in the Kyle Beach/Brad Aldrich case, sparked the need for Bettman's approval.
With three Stanley Cups under his belt and numerous coaching records, Quenneville's potential reinstatement intensifies speculations surrounding current head coach vacancies.
