Former Blackhawk joins Jaromir Jagr's team in Czechia

Michael Frolik, a former Stanley Cup winner in the NHL, had his career come to an end in 2021, shortly after the Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup run.

He was pushed out by of the Canadiens club after they signed Corey Perry and went on to play for Lausanne HC in Switzerland during the 2021-2022 season before returning to his home country of Czechia in the same year.

Frolik then played for Liberec Bili Tygri HC in the Czech Extraliga but has since found a new home with ex-NHLer and current team owner/player Jaromir Jagr's Kladno HC, which is located in his hometown.

Since joining Kladno HC, Frolik has been productive, scoring 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 48 games while maintaining a plus 3 on the ice.

He has signed on for another season with the HC Kladno in the Extraliga.

Throughout his career, Frolik played in 858 career NHL games split between Florida, Chicago, Winnipeg, Calgary, Buffalo, and Montreal.

He was a part of the 2013 Chicago Blackhawks team that won the Stanley Cup, contributing 10 points in 23 games.
