If there's anything Chicago Blackhawks fans can be hopeful for is the best odds in the NHL Draft Lottery next year, with the of prize the next big star, Connor Bedard.
The teenage hockey phenom keeps building his stock heading into this Summer's Draft, as Bedard looks to help lead Team Canada to back-to-back gold medals at the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championships.
Friday night Team Canada played their second pre-tournament game vs Team Finland. After Canada's 6-0 win over Team Switzerland, Team Finland was a bigger challenge. Bedard would steal the show with the score tied 2-2, Bedard would snipe one up stairs to give Canada the lead.
Unfortunately for Bedard and Team Canada, Finland would tie the game back up. However, Bedard would once again get a golden opportunity and roof an absolute filthy goal to give Canada the 4-3 lead.
Canada would add an empty net goal as Canada would defeat Finland in a rematch from the 2022 World Junior gold medal game.
