Jonathan Toews has always been a vocal leader in the locker room and isn't afraid to take responsibility for the team's struggles over his career. Sunday proved to be more of the same, as Toews spoke to reporters about the team's struggles after losing 7-1 on home ice against the New York Rangers.
Toews has had a great start to the season, posting monster faceoff numbers and proving that he can still play at a high level after doubts stemming from his health battle two seasons ago. While his play has been great, the rest of the team can't seem to bounce back from breakdowns and other challenges that have faced the Hawks over this brutal stretch of hockey. We'll see if the Hawks can right the ship and get some momentum heading into the New Year.
