It will surprise you to learn that Luke Richardson decided to get involved in the Ryan Reaves and Corey Perry beef.

It may have come across as unprofessional of Richardson to offer his opinion on the two players, ongoing and league-wide beef.

During Monday's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks, the two were in each other's faces the entire time. After they were hilariously chirping at one another on the bench, it would peak with an end fight.

The verbal onslaught continued after the game, as Reaves detailed their history and how he disliked Perry.

"He kind of acts tough. He's not tough."

Ryan Reaves had some words for Corey Perry.

And that is Luke Richardson's music, as he entered the fray to defend Perry's play against the Maple Leafs:

Luke Richardson on the Corey Perry vs. Ryan Reaves beef:

"[Perry] was yapping at him from the bench and told him he lost his last two fights. [Reaves] asked him, 'What are you going to do? You're scared of me.' Corey is like, 'I've never been scared a day in my life.'

For the young players to hear that, and then see him go out and wrestle with [Reaves] on the ice and score the game-winning goal, who's more effective in the game?"

As Perry scored the game-winning goal, Richardson complimented Perry and insisted he had a greater impact on the ice.

It looks like Reaves will have to score a game-winning goal of his own to back up his trash-talking. In contrast to our own favorite pest.
