The Montreal recently traded away Alex Romanov at the NHL Entry Draft to the New York Islanders. While many Canadiens fans weren't too happy this was made possible by the development of some other prospects.
The Canadiens felt they could move Romanov because of the development of a bigger, meaner and stronger prospect. That prospect is 21-year-old, Arber Xhekaj. The young Czechia/Canadian born prospect is already 6'3, and 205 pounds.
Xhekaj would show his mean streak during a game December 3rd between the Kitchener Rangers and Owen Sound Attack. During a scrap, Xhekaj would absolutely destroy the Owen Sound Attack's captain, Brett Wooley with a 1-2 Mayweather making Him Take a nap.
Xhekaj would ultimately get suspended after the fight for what was considered a taunt. When he joins the Canadiens he will bring a much needed toughness they haven't had since George Laraque was on the team.
