With alot of talk by people wanting to get hitting removed from hockey you have to wonder should Leagues look into it?

It was a very scary moment for a 19 year-old Detroit Red Wings prospect after he needed to be helped off the ice with a serious injury, and was reportedly in tears on the bench. Dmitri Buchelnikov is a highly touted prospect drafted by the Red Wings this summer and is currently playing in Russia in the VHL.

During their most recent game Buchelnikov had to be helped off the ice when he was absolutely run over by a player named Roman Chemerkin who's known for throwing bone crushing hits.

Buchelnikov didn't see Chemerkin coming until he was on his back. Buchelnikov was in a great deal of pain and we don't know how long he's going to miss but it doesn't look good.

This was the second player in the VHL who was injured this week from dangerous hits as another player named Yegor Bryzgalov was taken to hospital after being knocked out from a huge hit and hitting his head in the ice.

THIS IS NOT GOOD AT ALL 😨
