Kyle Davidson has been killing it the last two drafts, drafting really good prospects even in the 7th round. Now, no one probably expected this, but a prospect drafted just this year is headed to the AHL.
And that prospect is Marcel Marcel. Today, he signed a 1-year deal with the Rockford Icehogs.
Marcel, since drafted, has been a fan favorite just because of his name, but his personality has made him exceed everyone's expectations. Marcel Marcel hails from the Czech Republic and is 19 years old. Marcel had 32 points in 52 games with the Gatineau Olympiques and 8 points in 12 games with the Czechia U20 National Team.
We may even see him called up halfway through the year if we decide to sell at the trade deadline again.
