Tampa Bay Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov is second with a rating of 92. With 69 points in 47 games season, the Russian winger proved once again last season that he is one of the best in the NHL. Colorado Avalanche winger Mikko Rantanen closes out the top 3 with a rating of 91. In the recent playoffs, Rantanen has proven that he is an impressive power forward. He was an important part of the Avalanches' cup success.
David Pastrnak comes in at No.4 with a rating of 91. Last season, the Bruins forward scored 77 points in 72 games. In his career, he has scored 504 points in 510 games. Mitch Marner follows him with a rating of 90. He scored 97 points in 72 games last season. It's hard to understand why Marner is rated lower than Pastrnak.
This may hurt Hawks fans - Ottawa winger Alex Debrincat comes in at No.6 with an overall rating of 89. Debrincat was traded to the Senators in July for a first-round pick in 2022, a second in 2022, and a third in 2024. The 24-year-old forward has absolutely earned his spot in the top 10. He scored 78 points in 82 games last year. Mark Stone (89), Andrei Svechnikov (88), Vladimir Tarasenko (88) and Jordan Kyrou (87) complete the NHL 23 top 10 list of right wingers.
