Former Chicago Blackhawks player Patrick Kane, who requested a trade at the NHL trade deadline, is now a part of the New York Rangers organization. However, despite his departure from the Blackhawks, Kane has not forgotten his former team or the promising prospects they have in their pipeline.
In fact, Kane recently sent a text message to his former teammate on the Blackhawks, Mackenzie Entwhistle, in which he praised the Blackhawks' prospect Lukas Reichel, calling him "the real deal."
The full details can be viewed below in the video:
Reichel, a 20-year-old forward from Germany, was selected by the Blackhawks in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He has been developing his skills getting many minutes on the rebuilding Blackhawks roster, and shows big similarities to Patrick Kane.
Kane's endorsement of Reichel is a positive sign for Blackhawks fans. With Kane's stamp of approval, it's clear that Reichel has a bright future ahead of him in the NHL.
