The Blackhawks defense over the last couple games has been shaky at best. They have looked lost with the puck, often making simple mistakes by not clearing their own end and losing their defensive positioning in the defensive zone. Changes to the defensive units may be coming.

Luke Richardson in his postgame press conference said that him and Kyle Davidson have talked in the past about some defensemen in Rockford who would be seeing some time in the NHL at some point this season. Richardson also stated that he would be talking to Davidson about the possibility of bringing up some new faces on the blue line.

The defenseman who would most likely be heading down to Rockford would be Alec Regula. Caleb Jones will most likely become a healthy scratch if a move is made. Jones has had a terrible rough stretch over the last few games and was on the ice for all 5 goals given up against the Blues. Regula may just need to spend a little time in Rockford to regain his confidence and play more minutes.

Some possibilities of players coming up from Rockford could include Ian Mitchell, Isaak Phillips, and Jakub Galvas. All of these defenseman have had nice starts to the season and are primed to make an appearance in the NHL at some point in the near future.
