Stalock reveals every team has called him and he's likely gone
Alex Stalock had to take a year off due to contracting SARSCOV2 (Covid 19) and rehabilitating an injury caused by the infection.
Unfortunately, he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers before he could even play for the team.
However, he made his return in the 2021-2022 season and played for the AHL affiliate team before being traded to the San Jose Sharks, where he started his career.
He was then sent to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Just asked Alex Stalock about his future.
"How many teams are in the league?" he responded.
"32," I said.
"They've all called. I'm just trying to decide where I'm gonna go."
Funny dude. Gonna miss him in Chicago. But he's still planning/hoping to play next year.
He then signed a league minimum deal with Chicago and managed to revive his career.
In 27 games, he started 24 with a record of 9-15-2 and a .908 sv%, earning a nomination for the Bill Masterson Trophy.
This recognition has given him a second chance in the league and his future looks promising.
If Stalock doesn't end up back in Chicago, we wish him all the best.
