Suspension Incoming? Fight Breaks Out After Dirty Hit Blackhawks vs Blues
The Chicago Blackhawks faced off against the St.Louis Blues in their first preseason game, the Blues were red hot coming off 2 straight preseason wins heading into the game against the Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks lineup looked solid heading into their first matchup, about 80% of the Hawks roster was from their previous years lineup. All momentum for their first game back was lost when the Blackhawks had a defensive breakdown, and the Blues scored on their first shot on goal of the game just two minutes into the matchup.
The Blackhawks would continue to trail for the rest of the game, and the newcomers to the roster were hungry, time was ticking and they had to give it there all to show management that they deserve a spot on the team. In the third period, things started to heat up between the two teams. Jordan Kyrou laid a dirty hit, and as shown in the replay he clearly had a intent to injure.
Collin Blackwell, a new acquisition from Chicago, was hit from behind nearly twice during one shift, no teammates stood up for Blackwell so he decided to take matters into his own hands as he had enough, check it out below:
